Andhra Pradesh Government Transfers 11 IAS Officers

The Andhra Pradesh government has issued a major reshuffle, transferring 11 IAS officers across key departments. Chief Secretary Vijayanand released the orders on Tuesday, September 8. As part of the changes, Anil Kumar Singhal has been appointed as the new Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer, replacing S. Shyamala Rao, who has been posted as Secretary to the General Administration Department.

Other key postings include Ananth Ram as Special Secretary to the Governor and M. Harijawaharlal as Secretary of Revenue (Endowments), relieving Vadrevu Vinay Chand of additional charge. Kantilal Dande will now serve as Secretary of Forest and Environment, while C.H. Sridhar has been shifted as Secretary of Minority Welfare. M.V. Seshagiri Babu has been appointed as Secretary of Factories, Boilers, Insurance, and Medical Services, in addition to his role as Labor Commissioner.

In another significant move, M.T. Krishna Babu, who was serving as Special Chief Secretary of Health, has been transferred as Principal Secretary of Roads & Buildings Department, while also given full additional charge of the Investments and Infrastructure Department. Saurabh Gaur has been shifted from the Health Department, while Mukesh Kumar Meena has been appointed as Principal Secretary of Excise with additional charge of Industries and Commerce. Praveen Kumar has been transferred as Andhra Pradesh Resident Commissioner in New Delhi.

This reshuffle marks an important step in streamlining governance and strengthening key administrative departments in Andhra Pradesh. The government expects the new appointments to bring greater efficiency and focus to developmental and welfare initiatives.
