On February 25, 2026, former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy participated in the idol consecration and Kumbhabhishekam ceremony at the Sri Nandeeswara Temple in Nandipalli village of Vempalle Mandal, Pulivendula constituency. The ceremony marked the installation of the newly consecrated idols of Lord Maha Nandeeswara Swamy along with Goddess Parvati. Dressed in traditional attire, he took part in special rituals and homams conducted by temple priests and Vedic scholars, offering prayers and receiving blessings on the auspicious occasion.
Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that temples symbolize India’s rich cultural and spiritual traditions and play a vital role in fostering peace and harmony in society. He noted that the renovation and development of temples in rural areas help strengthen spiritual awareness and community unity. Congratulating the temple committee led by Chairman Maram Srikant Reddy for successfully organizing the event, he described the ceremony as a reflection of collective devotion and village solidarity. Y. S. Avinash Reddy, along with party leaders, local representatives, and a large number of devotees, attended the event.
