On November 28, 2025, a delegation from Germany’s ruling Social Democratic Party (SDP) paid a courtesy visit to Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Gaddam Prasad Kumar at the Speaker’s Chamber in Hyderabad. The delegation included SDP Secretary General Sabina Fenderrich, Asia-Pacific Head Micro Gunther, India Director Christoph P. Moore, along with Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, Legislative Secretary Dr. V. Narasimha Charyulu, and senior officials. The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen international cooperation, explore democratic practices, and discuss areas of potential collaboration.
During the interaction, Speaker Prasad Kumar briefed the delegation on the democratic structure and legislative functioning of Telangana. He highlighted that Telangana, formed in 2014, has a bicameral legislature with 119 MLAs and 40 MLCs, and emphasized that discussions in the Assembly are productive and meaningful. The Speaker also stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Telangana is progressing across multiple sectors and is actively encouraging foreign investment due to strong economic opportunities. The delegation was felicitated with a bouquet and ceremonial shawl as a mark of respect.
