Amaravati is rapidly transforming into a national financial hub, with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu launching the foundation works for headquarters of leading public sector banks and insurance corporations, alongside Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The CM stated that Amaravati’s rebirth is driven by farmers' sacrifice, a strong plan, and solid support from the Central Government. A landmark MoU was also signed for constructing a world-class Cosmos Planetarium in Amaravati. The government announced that ₹1,334 crore will be invested into these financial institutions, creating over 6,500 jobs and enabling Amaravati to function as the backbone of India's future economic landscape.
Speaking at the ceremony, CM Naidu highlighted ongoing and upcoming milestone projects—including Polavaram reconstruction, industrial corridors, seven national highway links, and the proposed Polavaram-Nallamala Sagar mega water grid—to make Andhra Pradesh drought-free and globally competitive. He urged the Centre to extend capital gains benefits for Amaravati farmers and support the integration of Purvodaya scheme, drought mitigation plans, and large-scale infrastructure expansion. With major universities, data centers, and global innovation initiatives on the way, the Chief Minister declared that by 2028 Amaravati will stand as India’s most advanced capital city—developing at unstoppable speed.
