The Telangana State Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic bus accident between Makkah and Madinah in Saudi Arabia that claimed several lives. The government has decided to provide an ex-gratia of ₹5 lakh to each bereaved family, extending heartfelt condolences to the victims' kin.

The Cabinet also resolved to send a government delegation to Saudi Arabia, headed by Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, along with an MIM MLA and an official from the Minority Welfare Department. Based on the wishes of the families, the government will arrange for two relatives from each family to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform the last rites there according to religious customs.
